In April 2021, my father had a specialised procedure of the heart for an irregular heart beat. This procedure was undertaken during the Covid pandemic and relatives were not permitted into the hospital.
After Dad had his procedure we awaited for him at hospital entrance to take him home (two days later after the procedure).
When we greeted Dad at the entrance we immediately noticed something wrong with his speech but Dad brushed it off as the side effects of the procedure and just wanted home.
Later that evening, Dad was showing worrying symptoms of a stroke such as slurred speech, weakness, tiredness and disorientation.
At first the family thought these symptoms may have been the side effects of the anaesthetic but the next morning we were concerned that he had taken a stroke and Dad was admitted to his local hospital.
The A&E dept confirmed he had a stroke and were preparing for consequential strokes.
The MRI scan showed he had a 22mm lesion on the brain from the stroke.
The scan also showed a 12mm historical lesion Dad gained from his young days of misadventure sleighing on ice which left a 12mm lesion on the brain.
After a week in the stroke ward a team came to Dad to discuss and prepare him for the long term consequences of life after a stroke.
Dad was a very fit and active man prior to the stroke and these long term symptoms were proving very difficult to live with.
Dad returned home and I put dad in contact with a very gifted healer, by the name of Matthew Lennon.
I left Matthew and Dad together and returned 30mins later to the room.
The first thing I asked Dad, “Well how is your speech now Dad?” With a great big smile he began to singing Mary Poppins ‘supercalifragilisticexpialidocious’ which if you didn’t know means extraordinary good.
Dad was recalled weeks later for a further MRI scan to access the lesions.
A professor radiologist spent substantial time looking for the lesions which could not be found. He reported no lesions only a very slight trace of where previous lesions were.
In other words they were gone. We believe in Matthew’s Healing Gift and do not question it.
